The show must go on! Using video demonstrations and social media to create business-critical virtual events during COVID-19

So many companies have been negatively affected because of COVID-19. When Premier Dermatology came to us in the spring of 2020 to create a virtual open house for them, we jumped at the chance. Premier Dermatology heavily relies on the revenue from open houses each year to attract clients and keep their business moving in the right direction. We worked to create virtual open houses in record time—giving them a high-quality solution that patients (both new and old) loved, kept their revenue on track and provided a valuable service to help them during this time of crisis.

CHALLENGE

Creating a virtual event during the height of COVID-19 that could replace their in-person open house—an annual event that Premier Dermatology heavily relies on for the revenue brought from new clients and cosmetics sales.

SOLUTION

We worked to create virtual open houses in record time—giving them a high-quality solution that patients (both new and old) loved, kept their revenue on track and provided a valuable service to help them during this time of crisis.

PROCESS

Unlike many of our clients, we did not build Premier’s website. However, like many of our clients, when they came to us with a creative problem, we were more than ready to lend a hand. Here are just some of our projects, which in this case, began with our role in helping them with their branding:

videography & production

During the spring, when it was clear that an in-person open house would not be possible, we came to film for a day in the spring (filming nearly twenty videos, including 12 treatment demonstrations and several product “commercials,” as well as interviews) to promote the event. We then produced the videos with graphics, editing, audio, etc. that they were able to drip release throughout the day on Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook. This was done in the fall as well, since it was still not safe to have an in-person open house. Some of the procedures that we were able to showcase would not have been possible in person (because of the personal nature or laser lights), so the videos served as an exciting way to provide insight into the breadth of their work. We have recently signed on to help Premier Dermatology with ongoing video production needs.

design

In order to keep to the style and design of Premier’s aesthetic, we designed cover grids (IGTB icons) for Instagram. 

Consulting

Premier Dermatology consulted with us initially on the best way to present their work in a virtual way. They rely on these open houses, which bring in the majority of procedural and product sales for their cosmetics business. We put this together quickly in the spring and gave them a solution that kept their budgets on track and that their clients and patients loved. So much so, that they produced this again in the fall.
